How do I let my ranger get a pet?

You have to get the beast mastery skill from the ranger master in the rengville vally or something.

He gives you the skill and tells you where you can get your first pet.

go to Regents Valley and talk to the ranger by the Melandru statue I think his name is Nente or something with an "N" in his name he'll give you the skills you need

Yeah, Nente, in Pre-Searing Asclon is in Regent valley, but in Post-Searing Asclon he is in Old Asclon, by the wall, uo and west a bit from the Town Portal. You can get the nessicary skills from both.
